পাক গুপ্তচরচক্রে জড়িত থাকার অভিযোগে গ্রেফতার হওয়া ভ্রমণ ইউটিউবার জ্যোতি মলহোত্র অবশেষে স্বীকার করলেন পাকিস্তানি ও ইতালীয় আধিকারিকদের সঙ্গে তাঁর যোগাযোগের কথা। তদন্তকারী সংস্থার সূত্রে খবর, পাক হাই কমিশনের এক আধিকারিক এহসান-উর-রহিম ওরফে ‘দানিশ’-এর সঙ্গে নিয়মিত যোগাযোগ রাখতেন জ্যোতি।
তদন্তে জানা গিয়েছে, জ্যোতি নিজেই ওই পাক আধিকারিককে নিজের ফোন নম্বর দিয়েছিলেন এবং এরপর থেকেই তাঁদের মধ্যে কথাবার্তা শুরু হয়। এক পর্যায়ে তাঁরা সাক্ষাৎও করেন। জিজ্ঞাসাবাদে জ্যোতি বলেন, “আমি দানিশের সঙ্গে দেখা করি এবং তাঁকে আমার নম্বর দিয়েছিলাম। তারপর আমাদের মধ্যে নিয়মিত যোগাযোগ হতো।”
জ্যোতির মোবাইল ফোন পরীক্ষা করে আরও চাঞ্চল্যকর তথ্য উঠে এসেছে। দেখা গিয়েছে, দানিশের সঙ্গে করা বার্তার একটি বড় অংশ তিনি মোছার চেষ্টা করেন। তদন্তকারী সংস্থা এখন সেগুলি পুনরুদ্ধারের কাজ চালাচ্ছে।
সূত্রের দাবি, এই গোটা চক্রে আন্তর্জাতিক যোগাযোগের ইঙ্গিত পাওয়া গেছে, যার মধ্যে ইতালির কিছু কর্মকর্তার ভূমিকাও খতিয়ে দেখা হচ্ছে।
তদন্তকারীদের মতে, ইউটিউবার সত্তার আড়ালে বহুদিন ধরেই সন্দেহজনক গতিবিধিতে জড়িত ছিলেন জ্যোতি। তাঁর বিরুদ্ধে রাষ্ট্রবিরোধী কার্যকলাপে যুক্ত থাকার একাধিক প্রমাণ ইতিমধ্যেই হাতে পেয়েছে গোয়েন্দা বিভাগ।
বর্তমানে তাঁকে পুলিশ হেফাজতে রেখে আরও জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করা হচ্ছে। গোটা ঘটনায় চাঞ্চল্য ছড়িয়েছে।
