ধর্মস্থান তারাপীঠে বেআইনি দেহ ব্যবসার অভিযোগে চাঞ্চল্য ছড়াল। বুধবার ভোররাতে মন্যমালিনী তলায় অবস্থিত একটি বেসরকারি লজে হানা দেয় তারাপীঠ থানার পুলিশ। স্থানীয়দের অভিযোগের ভিত্তিতে অভিযান চালিয়ে পুলিশ লজ মালিক গৌতম নস্কর ও এক মহিলাকে আটক করে।
সূত্রের খবর, বহুদিন ধরেই ওই লজে অসামাজিক কার্যকলাপ চলছিল বলে অভিযোগ ছিল স্থানীয়দের। বুধবারের অভিযানে প্রাথমিকভাবে বেআইনি দেহ ব্যবসার প্রমাণ মেলায় অভিযুক্তদের আটক করে থানায় নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়।
পরে লজ মালিক গৌতম নস্করকে রামপুরহাট মহকুমা আদালতে তোলা হলে বিচারক তাঁকে ১৪ দিনের জেল হেফাজতের নির্দেশ দেন। পুলিশ জানিয়েছে, এই চক্রে আরও কেউ জড়িত আছে কি না, তা তদন্ত করে দেখা হচ্ছে।
স্থানীয়দের অভিযোগ, তারাপীঠের মতো পবিত্র ধর্মস্থানে এই ধরনের কার্যকলাপ রীতিমতো ধর্মীয় ভাবমূর্তিকে আঘাত করছে। প্রশাসনের কাছে তাঁদের আবেদন, এমন বেআইনি কাজে যুক্তদের কঠোর শাস্তি দিয়ে ভবিষ্যতে এমন ঘটনার পুনরাবৃত্তি রোখা হোক।
